The Shakespeare Code got an average 6.8 million overnight viewers (most watched show of the night) when it premiered on BBC One on 7 April, with the BBC Three repeat on 8 April getting about 1 million overnight viewers (highest result for a BBC Three Doctor Who broadcast to date). |

This coming Saturday's airing of Gridlock has created a little stir. As noted by CBBC Newsround http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/newsid_6540000/newsid_6542500/654252 5.stm , Gridlock will be postponed to 21 April if the FA Semi-Final lead-in runs long, because the live reality show/music contest "Any Dream Will Do" airing at 8:25PM is not going to be moved. Most likely, the game will end on time and Gridlock will get a great lead- in that could result in lots of people sampling the episode. But if the game runs over, all related Doctor Who programming (repeats, Doctor Who Confidential, Totally Doctor Who) would likely need to be shifted back 1 week to tie in with the BBC One broadcasts. Newsround notes that the following schedule changes would occur on BBC Three: Saturday 8:25PM - Rose instead of Doctor Who Confidential Sunday 8PM - The Christmas Invasion instead of Gridlock and Doctor Who Confidential Cut Down |

Totally Doctor Who includes a weekly animated serial - The Infinite Quest - starring David Tennant as The Doctor, Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones, and Anthony Head as the Scourge. Episode 2 of Totally Doctor Who airs Friday 13 April at 5PM on BBC One. |

BBC America's http://www.bbcamerica.com head Garth Ancier did an interview http://blogs.mediavillage.com/ed_martin/archives/2007/04/sex_spies_sci_f.html about their upcoming programming which mentions Torchwood and indicates that if he were running the channel when the US Doctor Who deal was made, he would have lobbied to have Who air on BBC America first. Due to the current deal, episodes will continue to premiere on the SciFi Channel http://www.scifi.com first before reaching his network. |

BBC America's upcoming schedule is changing, and the Doctor Who broadcasts for April 26 have vanished (save a 2AM repeat of The End Of The World). We will see if that broadcast is still around after they finish tinkering. |

West Virginia Public TV http://www.wvpbs.org noted on air that they will start airing the public TV Doctor Who package on Friday April 27th (43rd station so far, for those who are counting). We do not have a time slot yet. On Friday I got information indicating that the series would begin on that station on the 7th, and sent out an alert, noting that this information was unconfirmed. Doctor Who did *not* air at the time indicated in the alert, but will be beginning on the 27th. West Virginia Public TV is not to be confused with Virginia Public TV http://www.wvpt.net , which is a network in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia that has not picked up Doctor Who at this time. |

Ahead of WMVS 10 Milwaukee's run of Doctor Who, WMVT 36 (the sister station) has aired Doctor Who Confidential episodes as filler after shows that ended early. Unfortunately, they do not list these airings in advance (or after they do them). Just keep an eye on WMVT if a show looks like it should end early. Doctor Who (and presumably Doctor Who Confidential in order) begins May 12th. Maryland Public TV is also going to use Doctor Who Confidential early - episode 1 is scheduled for April 14th at 11:45PM, episode 2 tentatively April 21 at 11:45PM - the Eccleston Who episodes begin late Saturday April 28 at 12:05AM. |
The PBS documentary series "America At A Crossroads" is airing from Sunday April 15 to Friday April 20 in primetime on most primary PBS stations, so you may notice your station pre-empting or moving Who out of the way of this miniseries. |
